The Oklahoma City Community College Division of Arts, English, and Humanities
offers a wide variety of associate degree programs and certificates within the fields
of Art, Broadcasting, Digital Cinema, Digital Media Design, Diversified Studies, English,
French, Humanities, Journalism, Liberal Studies, Literature, Music, Philosophy, Pre-Education,
Public Relations, Spanish, Speech, and Theatre Arts.
Students have the opportunity to participate in choirs, private music lessons, plays,
art shows, the OCCC student newspaper The Pioneer, film projects, writing contests,
literary magazine publications, as well as other special activities related to the
courses and programs offered.
The division also offers a variety of student learning labs, including the speech
lab, digital photography lab and music lab. The World Languages and Cultures Center
provides students help in learning foreign languages and exploring cultures. The Writing
Center is a great resource for OCCC students offering opportunities to reinforce and
strengthen language skills by providing resource materials, peer tutoring, writing
workshops, professional mentoring, and cultural awareness.
