Greece, May 2025
Students explored the global disconnect between most modern humans and the food, water, and natural resource systems on which humans depend, studying problems such as food insecurity and climate change. Participants examined aspects of agribusiness, ecology, tourism, rural sociology, and economics by studying small-scale agritourism businesses.
Japan, May 2024
During this nine-day program, students were led by our expert local guides to discover two world-known destinations of Japan: Osaka and Kyoto. They learned about the history, the culture and socioeconomic aspects of the country.
Costa Rica, January 2024
This study-abroad trip gave students the opportunity not only to learn the fundamentals of environmental policy but also experience it firsthand. Costa Rica is especially positioned to give students an opportunity to better understand the profound impact of ecotourism on an economy and offers a wide array of experiences in the natural world.
What You Can Expect
You can take classes with O-Triple-C professors, explore the language and culture of your host country, engage in meaningful dialogue with locals, get active with community service and complete an internship while earning credit toward your degree. OCCC tuition and fees allow you to apply tuition waiver scholarships, and your financial aid will travel with you, too. Perhaps the best part of our study-abroad programs is the support and guidance offered by OCCC's on-site staff, providing for a safe, fun and transformational experience.
