Greetings from Academic Affairs and welcome to the Adjunct Faculty Website.
We are pleased that you are willing to play an integral role in the lives of our students
at Oklahoma City Community College.
Almost half of the over 3,000 sections we offer a year are taught by adjuncts. You
are a vital link in the college’s ability to offer excellence in instruction to our
12,000 students with one of the most reasonable tuition rates in the state.
At OCCC, we value and support the adjunct instructors by providing development activities
during two orientation weeks, one at the beginning of each semester. Additionally,
frequent technology and andragogical sessions are scheduled throughout the year by
the Center for Learning and Teaching. These sessions are open to all faculty. We also
have an Adjunct Advisory Committee with representation from each academic division
that meets with the Academic Affairs leadership to hear and act on adjunct faculty
concerns. During the spring semester, each division recognizes and honors an outstanding
adjunct in that academic area.
At OCCC, we know and appreciate the contributions of our adjunct workforce and strive
to meet their instructional needs. In conclusion, we repeat our welcome to you, look
