Writing Center Orientations

Instructors may choose to have a Writing Center orientation presented to their students to discuss how to use the lab, how the lab benefits students, and some of our additional services. Professors may request that certain topics be discussed in the presentation.

Live orientations are available during the Writing Center’s regular business hours. Each visit takes about 15-20 minutes and can be conducted in the following modalities:

• Seated Classroom
• Writing Center Visit
• Zoom Meeting
• Recorded Session

Keep in mind, having a representative from the Writing Center give a presentation to discuss using the tutoring services greatly impacts the probability that a student will seek out help with their writing assignments with us.
